This Cookie Policy explains which files and storage technologies the website https://shuranov.online uses, what they are for, how long they last, and how you can delete or block them at any time.

Site owner: Alexander Shuranov, self-employed professional in Spain (autónomo), NIE X4409176F, address: Pl. Bandes de Música de la Comunitat Val 20, 46013 Valencia, España. Activity: business management consultancy (CNAE 7020, IAE 8499). Contact: info@shuranov.online, phone +385 91 519 6333.

This document follows Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 on information society services and electronic commerce (LSSI-CE), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD) and the cookie guidance of the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).

1. What a cookie is and when your permission is required

A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. When you return, the site can read that file and remember something, for example the language you selected.

Other technologies have a similar effect, such as browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). Strictly speaking they are not cookies, but they also keep data on your device, so they are described in section 3.

Not all of them require your consent:

  • Technical or strictly necessary. Without them the site cannot work or deliver the service you asked for: keeping a session, holding the contents of a shopping cart, balancing load between servers. They are installed without prior consent under Article 22.2 LSSI.
  • User-set preference cookies. They remember a setting you chose yourself on the site, such as the interface language. Under the AEPD guidance these are exempt from the consent requirement precisely because the choice is made expressly by the user.
  • Analytics, measurement, advertising and attribution. They show where a visit came from, how the site is used, or serve advertising. They require prior consent. This site sets no cookies of this kind (sections 2 and 6).

2. Cookies used by this site

The list below reflects an actual check carried out in the browser, not a generic template. The result: the site sets exactly one cookie, a first-party cookie of the shuranov.online domain.

Name Owner Purpose Type Retention
pll_language First party (shuranov.online), set by the Polylang plugin Stores the language you selected yourself with the language switcher, so the site opens in that language on later visits. User-set preference — exempt from consent (Art. 22.2 LSSI) 365 days

The cookie holds nothing but a language code (for example en, es or ru). It contains no advertising identifiers, does not record your path through the pages and cannot identify you outside this site.

Cookies that will appear once the shop goes live

WooCommerce is installed, but there are currently no products and no cart, so these cookies are not created yet. They will be set automatically once the shop is running. All of them are technical (strictly necessary) and require no consent:

  • woocommerce_cart_hash — detects changes to the contents of the cart. Retention: session (deleted when the browser closes).
  • woocommerce_items_in_cart — indicates whether the cart holds any items so it can be displayed correctly. Retention: session.
  • wp_woocommerce_session_* — links your browser to the cart and order data stored on the server. Retention: 2 days.

This policy will be updated once those cookies are actually set.

What this site does NOT use

The site sets no analytics, measurement, advertising or visit-attribution cookies whatsoever. It does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel), Yandex Metrica or any other equivalent third-party tool. No advertising profiles are built and no browsing data is passed to ad networks.

3. Storage on your device (localStorage and sessionStorage)

Besides the cookie above, the site keeps some information in your browser’s own storage. Technically these are not cookies (the data is not sent to the server with every request), but it still resides on your device, so we disclose it:

  • localStorage — elementor. The site is built with the Elementor page builder, which stores technical data about how pages run and display. It stays until you clear site data in your browser.
  • sessionStorage — elementor. Same technical purpose, limited to the open tab: cleared when the tab is closed.
  • sessionStorage — wpEmojiSettingsSupports. WordPress checks once whether your browser displays emoji correctly and stores the result so the check is not repeated on every page. Cleared when the tab is closed.

These entries are technical, are set by the theme and the page editor, contain no identifying data and are not used to track you. You can remove them with your browser’s “clear site data” function (section 7).

4. Resources loaded from external servers: Google Fonts and theme images

To display typography, the pages download files from Google servers: fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Those servers set no cookies on the shuranov.online domain, but the download is performed by your own browser, and in doing so it transmits your IP address to Google together with the technical details that accompany any request (browser type, operating system, the page the file is requested from).

To put it plainly, with no legal stretching: this is a technical connection your browser opens directly with Google. The site owner does not receive that data, is not a party to any contract with Google for this use of the fonts, and therefore cannot give any guarantees of his own about Google’s processing or about possible international transfers. That processing is governed by Google’s own terms and privacy policy.

To remove this transmission, the site owner is considering hosting the font files on his own server. This policy will be updated once that is done.

For the same technical reason, some theme illustrations are loaded from the external server consulting.stylemixthemes.com. There is no indication that it sets cookies, but the connection likewise transmits your IP address to that server. The site owner plans to move those files to his own server.

5. Third-party embeds and links: Instagram and WhatsApp

Instagram (embedded content). The site displays a feed of Instagram posts (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). Loading that content opens a connection to Meta servers, which may process your IP address and, if you interact with the feed or are logged in to Instagram, set their own cookies on their own domains. Before loading or using that third-party content, the site owner recommends reading the Instagram privacy policy.

WhatsApp (outbound link). The WhatsApp button is a plain link to wa.me: nothing is transmitted until you click it. Once you do, you leave this site and the WhatsApp privacy and cookie policies apply (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.). The site owner recommends reviewing them before you continue: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy.

The site owner does not control the cookies these third parties may set on their own domains and has no access to their contents. To manage them, use the settings of those services or of your browser.

6. Why this site shows no cookie banner

The only cookie the site sets is pll_language, a user-set preference cookie: you choose the language yourself with the switcher on the page. Under the criteria of the AEPD cookie guidance, this type of cookie is exempt from the consent requirement laid down in Article 22.2 LSSI.

For that reason the site displays no cookie banner and no cookie settings panel: there is nothing to accept or reject, and showing a notice that manages no consent-based cookie would be misleading.

If that changes, the site will change too. If analytics, measurement or advertising cookies are added in the future, or if the shop starts collecting order attribution data, a prior consent mechanism will be implemented (a notice with accept and reject options and a settings panel) and this policy will be updated before such cookies are set.

Until then, control over the language cookie lies entirely with your browser, as explained in the next section. Any questions about this policy can be sent to info@shuranov.online.

7. How to delete or block cookies in your browser

Most browsers also offer a private or incognito mode that deletes cookies when the window is closed. If you use several browsers or devices, the settings must be repeated on each of them.

8. What happens if you delete or block cookies

Nothing essential: the site remains fully usable. You can read all content, review the services and send the contact form as normal.

One point deserves precision. The pll_language cookie is set and kept, because it needs no consent from you. Your language will stop being remembered only if:

  • you delete the cookies in your browser yourself;
  • you configure the browser to block cookies or clear them on exit;
  • you browse in private or incognito mode, where cookies disappear when the window is closed.

In those cases the site opens in its default language and you will have to pick yours again with the language switcher on every visit. No other functionality is affected.

9. Cookies, personal data and complaints

Some information linked to cookies or to the connections described above may qualify as personal data. In that case the data controller is Alexander Shuranov (NIE X4409176F), with the contact details given above.

Legal basis: performance of the service you request and the site owner’s legitimate interest in the site working correctly (Arts. 6.1.b and 6.1.f GDPR) for technical and preference cookies. There is currently no consent-based cookie processing; if analytics or advertising cookies are added in the future, the basis will be your consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you may withdraw at any time.

The site is hosted with a web hosting provider, and the emails generated by the contact form are sent through a transactional email provider. Both act as data processors and are bound by a processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR. Article 13.1.e GDPR expressly allows information to be given by categories of recipients; if you wish to know their specific identity and the location of the servers, you may request it at info@shuranov.online.

Technical web server logs, which include the IP address, are kept for no more than 12 months.

You may exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability (Arts. 15-22 GDPR) by writing to info@shuranov.online, stating the right you wish to exercise and proving your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es. Full information on data processing is set out in the Privacy Policy.

10. Updates to this policy

This policy may change when the cookies used, the installed tools or the applicable legislation change. We recommend reviewing it from time to time. If a change affects cookies that require consent, consent will be requested before they are installed.
